I've been a little down since seeing Monkey's MySpace page. He really seems to have his life together. The bar photos seemed fun (with all those gorgeous women! I guess the cute guys were just out of frame) but I've been in a lot of bars lately and believe me after seven or eight in a night they all start to blur. But what really got my attention was his donating his time to charity. He really taught me something. Which I guess is fair after I taught him how to smoke, drink and break into locked offices. Anyhoo, I was inspired.

So, as you can see from the photo, I am going in to apply for a job at this nonprofit that apparently works with owls. Which is perfect for the hours I keep now! I love perfect. Wish me luck!

Sweet Jimminy Corn! I'm in Las Vegas! And I'm lovin' it! After a rough ride in (why no first class on Southwest? So uncorporate...), a town car to the Bellagio (totally corporate!), a quick visit to Dr. Clos Du Bois for a pick me up and I'm ready to blow the roof off this town. Sorry you couldn't be here faithful readers. I miss you!

So sorry about the photo, BTW! The super nice guy who took it said I looked like a model (!!!) and needed to shoot from a low angle for "art" but geez I didn't know you'd end up seeing all the way to Nebraska! Got to remember that I represent the third floor and slow down on the fun juice! )

I'm pretty tipsy right now (alcohol and altitude really don't mix! Oh, how I wish they had Clos du Bois on this flight. That would have been perfect! I love perfect!) but I've been quiet so long I feel like I'll burst out of this box I've been in if I don't speak. I guess you never really realize how small your world is until one day you see an open door and take a chance on life. Sure you could spend your life on a shelf, but why? You should always be open to grab or be grabbed by a passing opportunity. Sometimes opportunity doesn't knock, it just sees you through an open door and suddenly you're gone. I've discovered that really living is waiting for that open door that invites you in and grabbing the chance for a life adventure from which you may never return.
